#RME: Breast sucking good for you?

The female breasts, also known as "the twins" or "the girls", have remained the most conspicuous and attractive feature of the female sexual organ. Perhaps, its strategic positioning and function adds to its importance in the life of a woman.

Besides the age long biological function of the breasts as a source of food and nourishment for babies, the breast is also a major source of sexual attraction for the male specie, just as it is also a key sexual organ for the woman, highly sensitive to stimulation. The fact that they come in various shapes and sizes, further add to their uniqueness and endearing place in our hearts as humans.Breast-Sucking

As a sexual organ, the breasts have been known to give immense pleasure to both men and women during sexual encounters. In fact, some women have reportedly disclosed that they are capable of achieving orgasm even when thoroughly stimulated through sucking and caressing of the breasts alone. Though, because of this highly sensitive nature, some women find it very uncomfortable or even painful to submit their twin girls to constant sexual manipulation of any kind.

Interestingly, men are constantly drawn to the breasts. A lot of this attraction has been attributed to psychological composition, perception and beliefs. For, pray, why would a full grown man be obsessed with sucking some mounds of milkless breasts? I don't often get logical answers to this question when I ask. The function of the breasts in sexual behaviour has been attributed to human Face -to -Face copulation that is unusual among other mammals. Since the breast already serves the function of mother-infant bonding, then it is also excellent for male -female bonding, says an argument. After all, it is just within reach.

For those familiar with some of the social media platforms, you would have come across a particular message that has been making the rounds for a couple of years now. Purportedly attributed to the BBC as source, this message usually springs out during the cancer awareness months and in support of cancer prevention campaign. As expected, it elicits a wide range of controversies from both men and women, from humour to disdain and sexual innuendoes, while some others believe the content hook, line and sinker. The purported message is claimed to have been issued by the Ministry of Health in the fight against breast cancer. One of the versions I have received read thus:

Very soon, women will be paying men to have their breasts sucked! According to a report on BBC website,  Doctors recommend that women reduce the risk of getting breast cancer by having their breasts sucked thoroughly and vigorously. It is said that regular sucking of the breast lowers the risk level that tends to build up lumps leading to breast cancer. The breast must be sucked as often as possible. Help women fight breast cancer today. Men, please do your part  and suck a breast now! And women, please endeavour to make it available regularly…… This message is from the Ministry of Health in the fight against breast cancer.

I have tried several times without success to get a confirmation for this story on the mentioned websites including cancer.org and some others in related fields. But perhaps, someone out there knows the original and authentic source of this message? Please share it with us!

As interesting as this message may be, as well as the different responses it receives anytime it is being passed around, depending on which side of the divide you find yourself, I am more worried about the health implications attached. Cancer is not something to make jokes out of as it claims millions of lives across the world every year. Again, some frightened lady who hitherto was not in favour of breast sucking may easily submit herself to torture with the belief that she is suffering for a good reason. Please, let us not confuse issues. Breast feeding is not the same as breast sucking. Breast feeding is the process of feeding  new born and infants with breast milk. It is this that has been medically proven to be of  immense benefit to both mother and child and can prevent breast cancer. There are no scientifically proven studies indicating that breast sucking is of any medical benefit to the the woman whose breast is being sucked or the person doing the sucking.

However, what has been scientifically proven is the fact that breast sucking when properly performed is of immense pleasure to the woman and may sometime on its own lead to orgasm or when combined with some other forms of sexual stimulation will help a woman to achieve orgasm quicker. Again, neither has any research shown that breast sucking can give a woman cancer.

So ladies, please relax and allow your guys do the job for you.  if you are not enjoying the way he is doing it, tell him. I can assure you, it's a win-win situation.

#RME: The great port and the things between (2)

It is a fact and indeed common knowledge that women are advised not to douche as it can disrupt the PH of the vagina, leading to infections, not cancer.

sex1

But how many of us women adhere to this on a daily bases? Or how many men encourage their women to keep the place only as the good Lord created it?

A guy once told me if he must make love with a woman, she must first wash out all traces of mucosa in her vagina! (He probably loves it dry!) A neighbour also once disclosed during a conversation with some other women that she washes her vagina with soap and water every morning and has also taught her little daughters to do likewise because that is the way she was trained by her own mother.

Women who douche, do so for varied reasons ranging from personal to "medical" and not a few of us are guilty too, including yours truly until a couple of years back. A habit that began way back in college as a teenager through grapevine information on sexual health and which was practised by many young girls then.

It was something you must do after your monthly cycle to clean out residual blood and keep foul odour away, and it caught like wild fire. Unfortunately, the originator of this information died about eight years ago as a result of cervical cancer, my first real life case of cancer victim.

No! Second actually. My aunt died over twenty years ago from breast cancer. Last September, my sister-in-law also died as a result of breast cancer. So, perhaps you might understand my concern when I come across information about cancer which are likely to mislead people.

For your information (FYI), vagina douching is the process of cleaning out the vagina by forcing water or solutions into the cavity to flush out its contents. Douches range from ordinary water to soaps (even native black soap) and manufacturers' brands spiced with a variety of fragrances, sold over the counter.

More ridiculous are women who douche right after sexual intercourse to avoid pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases or just to feel clean and fresh down there. Earlier in the year, a friend who recently began a new relationship confided in me that she had to go shopping for several brands of douches to prepare her port because she'd not been intimate for almost two years.

According to her, she developed thrush after washing with one of the products and had to undergo treatment lasting several days.

Whatever the reason might be, it is all geared at improving the sexual act by preserving the great port for the pleasures of the men who use them and to boost the confidence and sensuality of their owners.

Studies have however confirmed that regular douching may introduce new bacteria into the vagina which can spread up through the cervix, uterus and fallopian tubes. Douching increases your chances of vagina infections and contracting STDs and will not prevent pregnancy.

In fact, the American Journal of Public Health published sometime ago that douching may reduce a woman's chance of becoming pregnant during a particular month by approximately 30%.

As if all these are not enough. Our insecurities as women cause us to abuse our ports with our own hands, besides those inflicted by our men.

The truth is that once a level of commitment and compromises have been staked in a relationship by the woman, it is not a very pleasant feeling to allow the man walk out into oblivion, especially when the decision was not by mutual agreement.

The port has since evolved from the place cavemen seek their sexual pleasures or ease tension and walk away, because feminism and sexual liberation has offered women a platform to explore and enjoy their sexuality and sexual experiences.

However, women still find themselves trapped in their own insecurities, most, a result of society's sentiments, stereotyping and myths. Keeping the port clean and sweet smelling is not the only concern of a woman, keeping it tight and youthful, no matter the years of travelling through different turbulent, stormy weathers is another herculean task.

For this, women also have a variety to insert into the port, most of them, no matter how beautifully packaged by manufacturers may be dangerous to the body.

Generally referred to as vagina tightening products, they come in creams, tablets or solutions and are sold at all sex shops across the country and can also be locally sourced through homemade recipes (Alum).

The basic function of a vagina tightening agent is to compress the vagina walls, making the place tighter during penetration. Many sexually active women of all ages are known to adopt this method to boost their games in the arms of their men, since men are thought to prefer virgin girls in their beds (?).

It is believed that the vagina expands with use, especially so for women who have given birth to a number of children through self labour. Studies have also shown that age and hormonal changes may also compromise the elasticity of the vagina. Medical procedures and surgeries involving entrance through the vagina may also affect its size.

To buttress their points, some women do complain that after a while, they do not feel as confident and comfortable "down there" with their spouses as they once felt. Thus, a vagina tightening product is aimed at shrinking the vagina cavity, restoring suppleness and reshaping the vagina to make the woman feel young and rejuvenated, albeit temporarily.

For all these trouble and probably discomfort, the tightening product will only work for a few hours. If you want to have a go again, you will need to reapply. A more drastic measure at restoring vagina tightness is through cosmetic surgery known as vaginoplasty and this is expensive and not without likely complications. All these for a few minutes tumble under the sheets? Hmm!

The art of vagina tightening has been around for hundreds of years, and is deeply rooted in the Asian and Arabian cultures, though generally practised across. The popular Central Mosques on Lagos Island and Agege areas of Lagos State, are places you can find the most popular brands from Asia and the Arab world.

I met Ibrahim, a native of Kano State who majors in selling "man and woman" products and has an average command of both English and Yoruba languages. He attested to the potency of these drugs and their popularity but insisted he would only grant an interview and allow me take pictures of his stand if I parted with N10,000, 00 (ten thousand Naira). I promised to come back.

Other products available at many sex shops are; Instant Virgin Spray, Everteen Vagina Tightening Gel, Intiver (beware of fake brands of this product) 18again, Majinkani, to mention but a few.

The snag here is not their purported efficacy but the main compound in most of these products which is astringents, the most popular being alum.

Though astringents have their own medical uses, used as vagina tightening agents, they disrupt the normal function of mucosal cells found in places such as the mouth, digestive tract, vulva and the vagina, causing irritation. (remember that irritation causes discomfort, itching, discharge and even infections).

When these tightening products are applied, the mucosa cells dry out, causing stinging and pain in the area. Ironically, when users feel this stinging and dryness, they get the impression that the product is working wonders for them. Long term use of astringents might lead to more serious conditions as these areas need the cells to function optimally.

So, if I were to ask you again, is manual cleaning and tightening of the vagina really worth all the dangers that we expose ourselves to? As a woman who loves life and herself, what will your answer be?

Also, as a man who claims to love his woman and wants the best for her, what will your answer be? I doubt if the decision is that of the men who use the ports, but the women who own these ports! Life has no duplicate as they say. If you have any health challenge or been diagnosed of a terminal illness, you will appreciate how important it is to try to stay healthy.

The vagina does not need our help to clean up, even after use. It has been designed by God to clean itself daily with the help of the mucosa cells we dry out under the guise of cleaning and tightening our ports.

If you no longer feel "that good" enough down there, there are exercises, especially the Kegel, designed specially to take care of the vaginal muscles. Several sex positions are also available to help give you and your partner achieve a tighter feeling. And if you can afford the cost, a cosmetic surgery is the quickest and perhaps safest way to go about it you can find good professional hands.

#RME: Women more attracted to men with large genitals – Study

Previous studies on women's preferences for male genital size have been mixed, and even though it is the men who typically worry about the size of their own genitals, it is not unusual for women to prefer large-size male genitalia, even if it is up to a point.

But scientists have always argued that the old studies relied on questionnaires, which they say may not always provide honest answers.

However, it is now scientifically proven that size does, indeed, matter significantly because women tend to be more attracted to men with large genitals.

A new study by Australian researchers found that while the average woman rates the average man with large genitals more attractive, large genitals also give tall men a bigger attractiveness boost than shorter men.

A publication of the study result in the journal of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, however, notes that the returns on bigger genitals start to decrease at a flaccid penile length of 2.99 inches (7.6 centimeters).

The study suggests that women's preferences for bigger male genitals could explain why human males have relatively big genitals for their body size.

In previous related studies, scientists only asked women to judge the attractiveness of male figures in photos with only penile size varied, when in fact no trait is ever evaluated in a vacuum.

But in the Australian study, researchers at the Australian National University, showed 105 young Australian women life-size computer-generated figures of nude men, varying the figures' flaccid penile size, height and shoulder-to-hip ratio.

Height and shoulder-to-hip ratio have previously been shown as factors used by women to judge attractiveness. The computer simulations varied penile width in sync with length, so that all penises were proportional.

The results revealed that women preferred taller men as well as high shoulder-to-hip ratios (meaning that the wider the shoulders were than the hip, the more attractive the man).

Shoulder-to-hip ratio was a major determiner of attractiveness, accounting for 79.6 percent of the variation in hot-or-not ratings.

Though the effect was less extreme, women also preferred larger male organs, at least up to 5.1 inches (13 cm) flaccid, which was the largest computer-generated penile size in the study. Beyond 2.99 inches, however, the additional attractiveness per extra length started to decline.

When the researchers controlled for shoulder-to-hip ratio, they found that a larger penis had a greater effect on attractiveness for taller men, hinting that a larger penis just looked more proportional on a taller man's body, the researchers wrote, or it could be that  women were biased against shorter men to the extent that even large genitals didn't help. Interestingly, women's own features mattered as well. Researchers found that taller women were more likely to find taller men attractive. Women with greater body mass per height were slightly more likely than thinner women to weigh penile size more heavily in their judgments of attractiveness, though the difference was small.

Researchers say the findings might help explain why humans have remarkably large genitalia given their average body size.

It is a fact that male humans have the largest penises that any other primate species: For example, male gorillas can weigh as much as 180 kilograms, but their erect penis length is only about 1.5 inches (4 cm).

Human males weigh about half of what gorillas do, but studies peg average erect or flaccid-but-stretched penis length from 4.7 inches (12 cm) to 6.5 inches (16.7 cm).

Evolutionary biologists theorize that large human penises might help remove sperm from
competing males during sex, but in an era before clothing, women may have been drawn to mating with men whose genitalia caught their eye.

Men with larger penises, then, may have passed on their genes more readily, resulting in the large-genitals trait being handed down the generations.

In other words, males may have females to thank for their greater-than-gorilla-sized genitals.

#RME: Don’t blame me if my clothes do not cover my boobs — Yvonne Jegede

Yvonne Jegede, one of the girls that featured in Tuface Idibia's "African Queen" video made a stunning comeback to acting after several years of being away from the industry.

yvonne-jegedeSince her return two years, she has been inundated with movie scripts that have kept her very busy. In this interview, she recounts the story of her journey into Nollywood and her personal life.

By ANOZIE EGOLE

Since you came back to acting after years of being away,  how many films have you featured in so far?

You know I have been away for five years. I returned to the country in 2012, after my studies abroad. From 2012 till date, I have featured in about eight to ten films.

I travelled to America for further studies immediately after featuring in 2face's "African Queen" video. I studied International Relations in a University in Cyprus.

Why didn't you study Theater Arts?

A lot of people have asked this question. But I think I just wanted to study something outside of what I am used to, so that, I can broaden my mind.

Your name has become a household name in Nigeria. What would you say is the secret?

I cannot tell you what the secret is. But I am just doing what I know  how to do best. I leave the rest to God. He has been the one who has  lifted me up and I am very grateful to Him.

Aside, acting, what else do you think you can do better?

I am solely into acting for now, trying to reach a level where I can now live and divert into so many other things.

At the moment, I am trying to stablise myself in the industry having been away for a long time. I want to get used to the new Nollywood that is quite different from the one I left behind several years ago.

You said, new Nollywood? What's new about the industry?

Before I left the country for America, there were certain set of practitioners in the industry. But today, the story has change. We now have new faces, who have genuine love for the industry.

People who have so much talents that they want to explore. It is very interesting to have such people in the industry. It more challenging now because, everybody is bringing something new in the industry. The stories are changing and they are becoming more diversified.

So, how do you intend to find your place again in the industry?

The people are not my business. I am just here to work.  I just want to put heads together with whoever I come across. Give me what you have, and I bring what I have on the table.

What can you not do without as a very pretty girl?

My eye pack because I love my eyes. I always like to make my lips look good. For the accessories, I can not do without my golden wrist watch. I wear it anywhere I go every day  because it gives me good luck. I like big things and that's why I have to get a big wrist watch.

What does love mean to you?

I am a lover of love. I love to love. I love to be emotional.Love is  something that I appreciate a lot. Trust me, I am a good lover. I love my fans, my folks, I love the people that matters to me. I love to have people around me.

What is an ideal man to you?

I don't even know what it is any more. But I think people at different ages have different perspection in respect of what an ideal man is. He should be  more intelligent than myself.

I need somebody I can learn from him. He should also be able to take care of himself.  That's  an ideal man for me. He should not be ugly.

Which part of you body do you think is your selling point?

I think it is my brain. Talking about the physical things that attracts men to me, it depends. Some people say, it's my eyes, others prefer  my lips and my boobs. So, I do not know. When I love into the mirror, I love everything about myself.

How was your growing up like?

While growing up, I wanted to be a beauty queen. I just like getting attention. I was the first child. For the first five years of my life, I have the whole attention in the world. I am so used to  people coming around me. As a child, I got everything I needed.

Tell us about your evolution into Nollywood?

As a child, I never dreamed  of going into acting.  I loved modeling, and how paparazzis run after models. I never had acting in mind until I met Charles Novia.

When I saw him somewhere in Surulere, I was like; is this Charles Novia! And he turned around and looked at me and said, do I know you? I replied him, saying I saw you on the television yesterday .

He quickly asked me if I  wanted  to become an actress? I replied in the affirmative. He later gave me his call card  and invited me for an audition the following day.

That was it. While I was still working on the set with Charles Novia, Uzodimma saw me and insisted taht he would  feature me in his music video. The next day, I featured in the African queen video. That was how I started my acting career.

Who are the actresses you look up to?

I love Genevieve Nnaji. I am also a fan of Omoni Oboli, and many others.

Recently you featured in the music video of Sound Sutan. Do you have passion for dancing?

Sound Sultan is  a big brother. He called  me and said, I am shooting my music video. Can you come around and give me your support.  When I got there, I ended up featuring in the video. This is the third time, I would be featuring in a music video. I featured in African Queen video, Ego and now, Sound Sutan's video.

Does that mean you are a dancer?

I am not a dancer. I am not a video vixien. I can go and sit down and have a class cup and champagne. That is different from dancing. I am not a dancer.

What will you say fame has robbed you of?

The good and the bad. Good, in the sense that I can walk into anywhere and get favour ,especially in the banking hall. Sometimes, I would be standing in the quene and somebody would walk up to me and asked me how much do you want?

And the person would help me to make it faster. But the ugly thing is that, you will not live your life the way  you would want to.

You attacked  Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson on your twitter handle last year. What triggered off the attack?

I am not going to comment on it. Everybody took side with Yvonne Nelson, including my friends. So,  I am  not going to say anything about it. The whole world was against me. I read the negative reactions of Nigerians online. I was not expecting anything less. Even my own friends who never had any encounter with Yvonne Nelson took side with her.

You have a penchant for revealing some part of your body, may be your boobs. What happened today?

Well, it depends on the clothes. I have big boobs, so, if the clothes are not big enough to cover my boobs  you would  not blame me for that. I am not the person who made my clothes . I just put the clothes on.

You have passion for revealing some part of your body?

It depends on my mood. If I want to expose my back, I will do that. It goes with my mood.

Is it true that you dated 2face?

I didn't date 2face. I only featured in his "African Queen" video. I have never  kissed him before.

Are you not planning to get married?

When the time comes, I will get married. I have never given it a thought.

It's not about thinking, it is about the right person coming my way. Many ladies have been thinking about settling down for years now, but Mr. right has not come their way.

You are saying that Mr. right has not come your way?

Let's take it like that. I don't even have any relationship right now.

Why is it that most actresses do not want to get married?

How do you mean? Do you think that a lady would  decide to remain single. As a woman, she still needs a man. If  you do not have a man in your life, it is so bad.  She can never be a  happy woman.

Among the actors in the industry, who do you have crush on ?

Someone asked me this question recently. But, even if I have anybody in mind, do you think I would disclose the person to you.  It is a secret that I keep to myself. I am not going to elaborate on that.

What is your take on the same-sex  law in Nigeria?

The answer to the gay law is that, we got some group of people.  If you support it, you will have some people that will support you.

But if you are against it, you will also, have some group of people who will also support you. So, I am sitting on the fence. I do not want to be on anybody's bad  record. But sincerely speaking, I think for the federal government to pass the bill into law, it must be a very serious matter.

Can you play the role of a lesbian in a movie?

I can play the role but depending on the script. If the script is conveying a moral lesson, yes, I can do it.

So, it has to do with what message you are conveying to the people.  Secondly, notwithstanding,  as an actress, I should be able to play any role. But, I will gladly play the role as long as I'm not going to kiss a  fellow girl on set.

What of acting  nude?

No, I cannot for no reason. I have people I am answerable to.

Have you been sexually harassed before now?

Sexual harassment in the industry have to do with what you want. If you want to be sexually harassed, you will be. I am saying that because, even when I am walking on the road, or in the  banking hall, I usually get passes.

But it depends on what you want. I do not think every  director would  want to sleep with every girl he comes across. Maybe, I am wrong but, I don't think it is possible. I have had the experience where a produced would refused to feature me in his movie because I did not  sleep with him. They might make their advances to me.

Having featured in many movies, which of them would you say challenged you most?

The more challenging movie I have done since my return is James Town by Ifeanyi Onyeabor.

In the movie, I played a role that I have never done before. Most of roles have always been someone who is going to cry, or who has been abandoned and so on.

But in the movie,  I played the role of a drug seller. I sold all sorts of drugs. I was meant to move about with a guitar all the time. In this guitar, I concealed all the drugs that I was selling. But when nemesis caught up with me, I got bruised. I was busy hurting myself and I enjoyed every bit of the movie.

Would you say that the role interpreted your real person?

My real person is funny and  loving. I have got a very good sense of humor that my friends can't even contend with, when I start making them laugh. But, the roles I have gotten have nothing to do with my real self. All the roles I have played, none have really shown my real self.
