"Jake had become lame about 18-months ago and Steph spent much of her spare time looking after him and trying to get him fit."

The grieving couple said Steph, who was unmarried with no children and lived in Cawthorne, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, was a caring and generous woman who always smiled and waved at people while she was out riding.
Steph became interested in horseriding on a family holiday and then asked for her own horse. She started riding at the age of ten before taking part in local shows and competitions, UK Mirror reports.
